Your Questions,
Answered

What can I expect during a Sunday morning service at St Michael’s?

A typical Sunday service lasts about an hour and ten minutes. It includes prayers, Bible readings, a sermon, hymns and Communion. We pride ourselves on being a diverse congregation and welcoming everyone. We’d be so glad if you came to join us.

Are children welcome?

Very! Every first Sunday in the month is All-Age worship, during which our aim is to make sure that children and adults alike can participate fully. There is a children’s area at the back of church, where there are craft activities for children and always a warm welcome. There are also other opportunties for children to use the nearby chapel or hall for activities designed especially for them.

Is there a dress code?

No. Please dress as you wish. We’re not all the same, we don’t dress the same. We rejoice in that.

Who would I talk to about Baptism, Confirmation or First Communion?

Please come on a Sunday and talk with one of the Clergy or Licensed Lay Minsters. We would love to hear from you.

And who would I talk to about organising a funeral

Please telephone 020 7249 2627, or come to the church at a service time. We will always try to help.

And how about a Wedding?

Again, please telephone 020 7249 2627, or come to the church at a service time. There are some rules that govern who can be married in which church, but it’s easiest to explain that to you in person and we’d love to hear from you.
